Guard your prayer chamber! It is a very compelling command which I had learned from one of the preaching notes that I heard from a preacher in our church. Before this message had been conveyed through the preacher, I have already been so worried about my quiet time with my Lord. Life has been changed when I left my day job and decided to be hands-on mom. My days become so hectic even when I just used to be home. I also feel more tiring almost every day because of sleepless nights and days these past few weeks.
It is hard to guard my prayer chamber when I am so occupied with various cares in my earthly life such as my obligation to my family especially to my baby. However, it is harder not to be consistent with my date with my Lord whom I solely meet in the said prayer chamber. I keep on asking the Holy Spirit to help me set a certain time every day for a date with God. Better yet, I keep on insisting Him to make me able to go to the chamber when the scheduled time comes. It takes godly wisdom for me to be able to practice such a habit. I am actually required to be organized and systematic in performing my tasks the whole day and night. Lastly, I certainly need God’s grace for me to guard my prayer chamber and see my God smiling pleasingly every day.

The Word of God in the book of Matthew 6:6 says “When you pray, go into your room, and when you shut up your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place and the Father who sees you in secret will reward you openly”. This is an eye-opener to all christians who profess to be so godly and righteous. We do not need to be in the public to say a lot of words and showing people that we are really prayerful. God sees the heart of the one calling Him in prayer. It is the motivation and intention that matter to Him. The motivation must not be people but God Himself. It is intended to knowing God in a deeper and more personal way.
Furthermore, the Bible say in Matthew 7:8″ Everyone who asks receives. If you seek you will find and when you knock the door will be opened…”(I paraphrased). Just be careful also in asking for we have to ask things of God so that we will definitely get answer. Much better to ask God Himself than things He gives. When you to God in secret, you will get into His courts as you are without any hesitation, reservation or pretension. God knows the content of your heart so it is just fine to cry to God and tell Him everything in and of you. Finally, always remember that when you enter into your secret place in prayer, you are getting fellowship with your Father God in heaven.

It is a a literature that is helping me getting into more profound knowledge about having the presence of God within me everyday. Well, this fact is actually a necessity to every human being who sees life not only while living in the land but even after living. Hmmm..it is quite serious issue to talk about this topic but it is kinda great to obtain knowledge about the most important thing in life. The practice of the presence of God comes not so easily. It has to be an act of will. An act where a full surrender must be exhibited. The said surrender is an absolute entrusting of every concern to the Lord who knows everything. Keeping His presence in my life while doing daily tasks keeps me stronger, happier, more peaceful and hope-filled. Most importantly, my sense of His presence in my life everyday sustains me in the midst of a lot of confusion of every sort.
The Practice Of The Presence Of God is a simple book that can simplify everyone’s life. It is a principle that can even simplify your life wherein you can make choices that will really lead to simple yet significant way of living. The said Presence of the Holy One is the force that keeps me alive and kicking.
