Boracay of the North located in Pagudpod, Ilocos Norte has been one of the great tourist spots in the Philippines today. It is my pleasure to be one of the people who have been given a privilege to discover the beauty in the once least traveled but now most desired place for a vacation. I had been there once but only this second visit did I enjoy the place. Why? It is because I enjoyed the journey going up there.
Going to Pagudpod are a lot of spots that would have made us stop over. The first is of course, the favorite of most tourists, the Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. It was where we had taken our breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Yes,we had started our trip at 3:30 a.m. from home. I will tell more of stories about our experience in Vigan City before I ended this piece because it was the place where we had spent our night before going back home.
Then there was the Malacanang of the North which had been constructed under his administration. The mansion is really awesome. At the back of it is a clean and green garden and a lake. With trees around it, you will not get any worry on sunburn. The good news still is that the trees are fruit bearing.
Along the way, we had dropped by the Windmills at Bangui, Ilocos Norte. This is very fascinating place. I was really awestruck with the windmills in queue at the seaside. However, I could not hold the wind and the sunshine because we had been there at around 2:00 pm. This one must not be missed by anyone who will be taking their vacation in the Northern Luzon. I do admire the brain behind this artificial yet amazing beauty.
The LightHouse is also a must-see part of the travel but unfortunately, I needed to nap while on board so, I was not able to get down and take a photo of it. Fort Ilocandia was also one of the iterinaries but I felt so sleepy so I had missed it.
Boracay of the North. Finally, we had already reached the most awaited gate of Pagudpod. It certainly gave us a great sigh to see that we are getting too close to the these virgin beaches. The clean and almost white sand, blue sky reflected on the sea and the greeny plants and trees around had definitely made us so excited to get out of the car. Thanks to kapuluan Vista Resort for the welcoming drinks that they had served us. I like the resort because of it is not really that noisy because it is not too much crowded. It is very conducive to those who are in vacation for quiet time, reading and simply meditating. It is ideal to workers who desperately want to be surrounded with quietness and forget life’s daily busyness. Aside from enjoying the food burritos, swimming in a pool with sense of privacy and the fresh air, I also loved picking up shells or chorals and putting sand into some bottles and brought them home.Laugh!!
We departed from the Resort the next day and stopped over in Vigan City. A lot of thanks to the courteous crew of Vigan Plaza Hotel. The hotel that is ideal for tourists because it is located at the main plaza.
There are lots of great places to see in Vigan. A number of museums where things of our past heroes can be viewed closely. I enjoyed riding in a calesa around the plaza. The Hidden garden had entertained my eyes with its variety of ornamental plants and the sounds from the birds around the garden had pleased my ears. I got some relaxation somehow. I also got a glimpse on how to make a clay into a beautiful pot in Pagburnayan. The Baluarte of Mr. Singson had caught my heart, too with everything that it has in the said place like the flirting way of peacok when she had tried to spread out her wings, the pony-riding and taking pictures with Dino’s.
Before settling down and go to sleep, souvenirs have to be collected first. It is good that Vigan Plaza Hotel is located just around the souvenirs shops. This part of a travel and vacation is already usual to a person whose passion is to travel. I did all these and I do not have any regret of choosing this way and this part of Northern Luzon for my vacation and occasion of my eleventh year anniversary of marriage. I am so blessed to see all these wonders with my honey and baby. Nothing really compares with the joy of being with loved ones in going to other places. Glory and thanks be to the Lord who has been giving us the ability to do things like traveling.
